Yourway celebrates opening of its Flagship GMP Depot in Dublin

Yourway, a global leader in integrated clinical supply solutions, has marked the grand opening of its new flagship GMP depot in Dublin. Yourway is supported by the Irish government through IDA Ireland.

Yourway’s Dublin GMP depot, with over 12,000 pallet locations over various temperatures, was specifically designed to meet the diverse and specific needs of the EU. The facility is fully operational, following regulatory approval in Q4 2023, and is serving multiple ongoing clinical trials. The new GMP depot offers a suite of services and capabilities, including the temperature-controlled storage of therapeutics and biologics (15-25°C, 2-8°C, -20°C, -80°C and -180°C), batch certification of sterile products, batch certification of non-sterile products, and packaging (primary and secondary).

To date, Yourway has invested millions in the Dublin facility, and plans to employ various positions in the clinical trial materials space. The facility has been designed to support the growing EU biotech and biopharma activity across various modalities, such as gene editing, cell therapy, mRNA, among others.

The official opening event was marked by a symposium titled ‘Global Clinical Trial Innovation, Challenges and Perspectives’ which brought together experts across various clinical development functions to explore various trends and innovations that will shape the future of clinical trials worldwide.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke said: “On behalf of the Irish Government, I’d like to congratulate Yourway on the official opening of their flagship facility in Dublin Airport Logistics Park. This investment, which will generate valued jobs, is testament to Ireland’s continued value proposition in attracting foreign direct investment to our shores. Choosing Ireland as the location for Yourway’s EU flagship GMP depot recognises Ireland as a global leader in the life sciences sector and further underscores Ireland as a strategic hub for biopharma logistics. Yourway’s state-of-the-art facility will support and enhance the sector with important clinical packaging, temperature-controlled storage and distribution capabilities. I wish all the team the very best for the future.”

Gulam Jaffer, Founder and President of Yourway said: “The EU is a critical region for new drug development, and Yourway is committed to providing full support for biotech and biopharma in the region. The strategic location of our EU flagship GMP depot is a key part of Yourway’s network in the region. We’re proud to host this event today and deepen our ties within the Dublin area specifically, and the EU in general.”

Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland said: ‘’Congratulations to Yourway on the official opening of its European Distribution centre in Dublin. With this significant investment into the new facility, Yourway is showing its commitment to supporting the Lifescience innovation ecosystem.’’
